Specification/Proposal Development:
At DVAR, our engineers are adept at collaborating with clients who come prepared with specifications, as well as assisting those who may need help developing them. We work closely with our customers to define specifications, costs, and project plans, ensuring a smooth transition into detailed development.
Feasibility Studies:
When uncertainties arise, whether technical risks or commercial targets, DVAR offers separate quotes for small packages of work to explore various project options and mitigate future development risks.
Concept Design:
DVAR specializes in translating customer requirements into tangible product designs, considering aesthetics, materials, and manufacturing processes such as 3D printing and CNC machining.
Detailed Design:
Our multidisciplinary team covers all aspects of product development, including electronics, software, and mechanical engineering, utilizing tools such as Altium, Solidworks, and various software development environments.
Product Packaging and Enclosures:
In addition to electronic and software services, DVAR provides comprehensive solutions for product packaging, including custom plastic enclosures, machined enclosures, and 3D printing.
Approvals:
We guide customers through the product approvals process, ensuring compliance with standards such as EMC, RoHS, and FCC, and offer management services if required.
Testing:
Our dedicated laboratory and manufacturing facility feature advanced electronic test equipment for prototyping, proof of concept, and production testing.
Manufacturing:
DVAR manages manufacturing for both prototyping and low to medium volume production, utilizing UK-based contract manufacturers and in-house facilities for board-level assembly and testing.
Commercial Models:
We offer flexible commercial contract structures tailored to the needs of individual projects, including milestone payments, hourly/day rates, or partnership-based models.
Intellectual Property:
DVAR respects and protects our customers’ intellectual property, providing two-way Non-Disclosure Agreements and passing on any IP developed during the project upon receipt of final payment.
Meetings and Reporting:
We prioritize close collaboration with customers, offering meetings and project reviews either on-site, remotely, or via teleconference, and providing progress reports at regular intervals upon request.
Design Review Process
At DVAR, we have a thorough understanding of the design process and the V-model systems, ensuring that the needs and requirements of end-users are fully grasped at the project’s outset. Throughout the project, we conduct toll-gate checks and design reviews, alongside verification testing, to ensure that the product or system aligns with our customers’ requirements. Additionally, we offer flexibility and are open to integrating with our clients’ preferred toll-gate models.
