DVAR supports legacy firmware stabilisation, documentation and controlled handover, as well as new development. An initial review establishes the available source, build process, hardware and evidence of the problem.

How is firmware tested with the hardware?

The test approach can combine unit, integration and hardware-in-loop testing, selected around the product requirements. Interfaces, expected device behaviour and repeatable test conditions are agreed during planning.

What should a firmware handover contain?

Depending on the scope, a handover includes source code, build instructions, interface definitions, technical documentation and verification evidence so the work can be reviewed and maintained.
