DVAR LTD is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. DVAR LTD is registered in England and Wales under company number 13034430. Our registered office is 206 Telfer Road, Coventry, England, CV6 3DR.

Information we collect

When you contact us, we may collect your name, work contact details, company, area of interest and the information you include in your message. If you use the DVAR Project Navigator, we also process the project answers you provide and the initial assessment generated from them. Our hosting and security systems may record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, requested pages and the time of a request.

How we use information

We use enquiry information to respond, understand a potential project and manage any resulting business relationship. We use Project Navigator answers, with your consent, to create an AI-assisted initial assessment and identify relevant DVAR services. We use limited technical information to operate, protect and diagnose the website. We process this information with consent, where it is necessary for our legitimate business interests, to take steps at your request before entering a contract, or to meet a legal obligation.

AI-assisted Project Navigator

The Project Navigator is optional. When you choose to generate an assessment, the project answers you entered are sent securely to OpenAI through its business API. Contact details entered after the assessment are not included in the AI request. OpenAI acts as a technology supplier for this processing.

Do not enter passwords, confidential design files, export-controlled information, special-category personal information or information you are not authorised to share. The assessment is an initial guide and is not a quotation, safety approval, compliance opinion or formal engineering recommendation.

OpenAI states that information submitted through its API is not used to train its models by default. API content may be retained for a limited period for abuse and security monitoring under OpenAI’s applicable data controls. Processing may take place outside the United Kingdom with contractual and organisational safeguards.

The Project Navigator does not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects. Its internal prioritisation does not accept or reject work. Every brief submitted to DVAR is reviewed by a person.

Who receives information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that support our website, email, AI-assisted assessment, security or professional operations, and with professional advisers or public authorities where required. We require service providers to protect personal information and use it only for the agreed purpose.

Retention

Project Navigator answers are not saved by DVAR unless you choose to submit the resulting brief. Submitted briefs become enquiry records. We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, accounting and security requirements. Routine enquiries that do not become active work are normally removed within 24 months.

Cookies and similar technology

This website uses essential technology needed for security, administration and contact-form operation. We do not use advertising cookies. If analytics or other optional technology is introduced, this notice and the consent controls will be updated before that technology is enabled.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
