AI and machine learning integration

Bring useful intelligence into electronic products, embedded systems and test equipment. DVAR connects sensing, data, models and firmware around a clearly defined product need.

Embedded vision concept

Where DVAR can help

  • A product idea needs a practical assessment of whether AI adds value.
  • A model or data experiment needs to become part of a working embedded product.
  • An inspection or test process needs a scoped evaluation of vision or anomaly detection.

Capabilities

  • Use-case definition, feasibility and non-ML baseline comparison
  • Sensor interfaces, data capture and dataset requirements
  • Model selection, evaluation and embedded inference integration
  • Edge and connected-system architecture with hardware and firmware
  • Computer vision, condition monitoring and test-data analysis scoping
  • Target-device verification, failure handling and update planning

What you receive

Deliverables are agreed for the project stage and designed for practical review, use and handover.

  • Agreed use case, feasibility findings and acceptance criteria
  • Data and interface requirements with an integration architecture
  • A scoped prototype with model and firmware integration records
  • Evaluation evidence, known limitations and a deployment handover

Plan the work around the evidence

Start with what exists and agree what the next development milestone needs to demonstrate.

Bring the starting point

Share an outline requirement, current design stage and the main constraint. Detailed files can follow through an agreed channel.

Define a useful work package

Agree the scope, interfaces, deliverables and acceptance criteria before detailed development begins.

Review the result

Review the design information and test evidence against the agreed requirement, with clear actions for the next stage.

Before you enquire

Does every product need AI or machine learning?

No. We start with the product behaviour you need and compare a model-based approach with a simpler baseline. The initial scope can assess available data, hardware constraints and the evidence needed to decide whether to proceed.

Can you integrate an existing model with our hardware?

DVAR can scope integration around your model, sensor interfaces and firmware. Share the target hardware, model format, available data and required behaviour. Processing time, memory, power and failure handling are assessed for the particular product.

Can AI be used in inspection or automated test?

Vision, condition monitoring and test-data analysis are possible work packages to assess. We agree representative examples, acceptance criteria and how uncertain results are handled before defining a prototype or production integration.

Start with the next useful decision.

Share the requirement, current evidence and the risk you need to resolve.
